About Rolla Family Clinic

Exceptional Walk-In And Primary Care

Rolla Family Clinic provides ambulatory care on a walk-in basis and primary care by appointment.

We are a hybrid of primary care and urgent care - but with primary care co-pays. We treat a variety of medical problems similar to the ones seen at a primary care physician's office, but we also offer services that are not readily available such as:
  • X-ray facilities which allow for treatment of minor fractures
  • A trauma room that facilitates repair of minor and moderate lacerations
  • Occupational health, pre-employment physicals and DOT physicals
  • Ultrasounds (upon appointment)
Emergency room vs. urgent care center
Approximately 40 percent of visits to hospital emergency departments are for non-urgent or semi-urgent problems (according to the CDC).

These problems result in the overcrowding of emergency departments across the country. Many patients would be better treated in an urgent care center at much less cost.

Emergency rooms are for critical and sometimes life-threatening conditions such as:
  • Heart attacks
  • Strokes
  • Severe motor vehicle accidents
  • Head traumas
We will refer injuries or conditions that require a higher level of care to an emergency department.

What kind of patients do we see?
All adults and children, over the age of 6 months, are welcome for primary care services. We treat medical conditions which need prompt care, but are not life-threatening.

If your condition appears to need critical care, arrangements will be made to get you to a higher level of care such as the emergency room.

Who are the providers?
We are staffed with licensed physicians and nurse practitioners that have many years of emergency medicine and family practice experience.
  • Yomi Olusanya, MD - internal medicine/emergency medicine
  • Shaundelle Olusanya, DNP - doctor of nursing practice
  • Dawn Tope, FNP - family practice
  • Alexis West, FNP - family practice
What is the waiting time?
Most times, you do not have to wait more than 30 minutes. There are emergent situations beyond our control that may cause longer waiting times but this occurs very rarely. Our clients are quite happy with our time management.
